At the beginning of August, a day after our 14.25 mile run, Terry felt a sharp pain in his left hip. Over the next several weeks of training, the pain increased and the muscles in the area began to lock up. An MRI revealed that he had torn the labrum in his left hip, among other secondary issues being caused by the injury. He took 14 days off from running but maintained his cardio and endurance by deep water running and biking.
